I am currently on the way back home after not having set foot in Brunei for almost two years now. I ventured to Chicago for a grad school interview, and then decided to stop by in Edinburgh to see a good friend of mine. Below are some of the best photos from my globe trekking adventures - enjoy!
Despite it being a somewhat cloudy day Ryan, Carley and I ventured to Tanglewood Park to shoot some engagement photos. We started off the day shooting amidst an area of leafless trees, and for the rest of the day we joked about how there was a subtle dead tree motif in all the photos. Nothing wrong with that! We moved on to snap some photos in a great little church we found before having a few fun and games in a playground. I had a blast photographing the two of them; both were brimming with joy and laughter throughout the shoot.
My lack of blogging this past summer has been a result of working as a cook on a guest ranch in Encampment, Wyoming. I was literally in the middle of no where - the closest Walmart was an hour and a half away - but it was simply majestic out there. The sunsets, the stars, the landscape; it is certainly hard to believe that such untouched land still exists here in the United States. Below are some photos from the summer, including a favorite self-portrait.
I love it when couples are able to relax and just have a good time during their engagement shoot because the photos always turn out better. Kyle and Michelle were extremely relaxed during their session last week, and I had a lot of fun working with them. We started the afternoon in Old Salem before moving downtown to hunt for interesting locations. I was grateful for their willingness to try new things, and I am definitely looking forward to photographing their wedding next summer!
